
Eric Seohyun Moon is a Korean violist with a deep passion for music that spans from the Renaissance to today’s contemporary works. Known for his sincere and thoughtful interpretations, Eric is currently studying with Prof. Tabea Zimmermann at the HfMDK Frankfurt and is a scholarship holder of Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. He has been recognized at several international competitions, including 1st prize at the Gaetano Zinetti International Competition and finalist at the prestigious Prague Spring International Music Competition, where he was awarded the Czech Music Fund Prize.
As a soloist, Eric has performed with leading orchestras in Korea and Europe and appeared at festivals such as the Verbier Festival Academy and the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival. From 2022 to 2024, he was a member of the Karajan-Akademie of the Berliner Philharmoniker, mentored by Ulrich Knörzer, and has toured with the orchestra across Europe.
